Taking Care of Your Infant's Needs
Baby's have specific needs to help them grow and thrive.
Love: Most importantly babies need the love of their caregiver. That's you mom. Those hugs and kisses. Meeting those needs. that are brought to attention by cries or maybe mom has been listening so carefully she knew beforehand what was to come. Softly whispered words of endearment and encouragement. That's the love a baby needs.
Growth: Your baby also needs your help and interaction to help them as they learn and grow. Tummy time. Reading time. Talking to you baby about the world around them. You are their first teacher so take your role seriously. You might even schedule a small bit of time each day to work on a skill as your baby grows.
You: Your baby also needs you so be at your best mom. Take care of yourself. Meeting your needs is important. You can do both. Care for baby and for yourself. To get this done
Your baby also appreciates your planning efforts for their days. The organized way you have in their care. While you cannot plan and organize for everything in a baby's day, because we know that babies specialize in the unexpected, the road to caring for babies goes much smoother and easier with a little planning and organization.
We don't always know what babies are thinking or what the immediate need may be but we can do our best as parents and caregivers to provide the most loving and soothing care.
Happy New Year!
