Things to Think About Concerning Preschool Homeschool

As your baby turns into an inquisitive toddler many parents start thinking of how to incorporate preschool at home.

Much of this is driven by the child themselves. As they learn and discover more about their world they seem like little sponges ready to take on anything. They constantly ask you about things and want to know everything you are doing.

But before you get too involved in picking up workbooks and activity sheets for your child keep these things in mind.

Your regular, humdrum, everyday activities can provide a rich and exciting learning environment for your growing child.

  • You can teach your child all about numbers as you buy groceries.
  • Your child can discover the wonderful world of colors as you sort the laundry.
  • Your child can view all kinds of shapes as you are out and about.
  • Children love books.  Read to your child often.
  • Children love to cook.  Let your child help you cook (assembling ingredients, stirring)
  • Children love nature. Watch animals and bugs and take walks.
  • Visit your local public library for their children’s activities (and books)

Now if you still feel the need to have some kind of structured program for your toddler there are many out there. Some free and some for a low cost.
