Plan Your Grow With Me Baby Nursery
While waiting for your baby is due date to arrive, use that time wisely to design a nursery that will grow with your child. A little planning now can save you time and money down the road as your baby becomes older.
Decorate: Your baby’s wall chart will change as soon as they are old enough to decided what they want on the walls. Use posters and low cost pictures as an easy and inexpensive way of decorating a room quickly. You will be able to swap these out as your growing child’s interests change.
Paint: Painting your baby’s room is like the beginning. It’s exciting knowing that you are making a beautiful space for your coming child. Instead of going bland with all-white be more creative and use colors such as painting green along the lower part of the wall for grass and above it blue for the sky. This is a perfect design to grow with and later on, you can simply change the wall decor to fit the interests of your child.
Fabric Decor: There are many great ways to decorate a room if you can sew. You can make your own curtains, crib skirt and even use fabric to cover cardboard boxes for a matching design.
Specialty Paints: Magnetic paint and chalkboard paint are two wonderful creations that allow your child to be creative in their rooms without causing great destruction. While costing a bit more than regular paint, with magnetic paint your child can play and learn with magnetic letters, numbers, characters and more. Chalkboard paint is fun for the board artist. In fact you may find more uses for chalkboard paint around the home (think pantry).
Furniture: Yes there is grow with me baby furniture. Convertible cribs that turn into toddler beds and then full beds. Changing tables that convert into desks or dressers. High chairs that turn into step ladders (although that is usually in the dining room).
Have fun planning and decorating your grow with me nursery.
